Overview:

D.G.U. is a 3rd person 3D adventure/puzzle game where the player plays as a student of the Death God University studying to become a death god assistant. Set in a wacky world, DGU takes its inspiration in the old point and click adventure / puzzle games like Day of the Tentacle or Sam & Max. In order to get graduated and pass to the next class, the player needs to kill collect souls of targets assigned to him by his teachers. To do this, the player can gather items and craft deadly trap, decoy device and/or use the environment to his advantage! There is only one rule! It must look like an accident.

Gameplay:

Explore the world and find the various items you need to create a crazy device Talk with people to get information, clues and whereabouts of your targets. Plan carefully your actions to not get seen by witnesses Use the weaknesses of your targets against themselves Fulfill the parameters of your assignment to get the best grade from your teachers.

Location:

DGU takes place in a small town nearby the hidden from mortal sight Death God University. For countless generation, this town has been the training ground for countless death god assistant students. The targets of the player are found in various area of this small town, from the Park to the train station, from the Asylum to the Army Base, the player will have to progress though those location and unlock their secrets. The university itself is also an important location as it is where the player can train and get new assignment and meet new death god teacher and progress through his studies.

Teachers:

Every faculty of the university is a death god from one civilization / religion or another. Because of the number of human now on earth, death gods around the world cannot work alone and their job has evolved. They are now CEO of Death Companies with proper HR department, accounting etc. They spend half their time in boring to death board meetings and teaching at the university their future employees. The player will meet Death God from various cultures, from Freya to Yama, from Baron Samedi to the Grim Reaper, without forgetting the Dean of the university, Mr. Louis. S. Seepher himself.

Targets:

Targets The world of DGU is full of parodical targets that behave badly. Never the player is to collect the soul of someone that doesn’t deserve it. Make no mistake, those people are the worst you can find and need to be removed! A good death god assistant always study his target to find weaknesses or a routine he could use to create the accident he needs.
